Immerse is a community of learners. These Community Guidelines (the "Guidelines") apply to every person who accesses or participates in the Immerse platform, whether through a web or mobile application, a virtual reality headset, or smart glasses or other wearable device (each, a "Member"). By using the Services you agree to follow these Guidelines, together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated here by reference. Where you use Immerse through a device platform — including Meta Quest, the Horizon Store, or Meta smart glasses — you must also comply with that platform’s applicable policies. The Guidelines exist to keep Immerse safe, respectful, and welcoming for everyone, and we may update them from time to time by posting a revised version with a new "Last Updated" date.
All Members are expected to follow Meta’s Code of Conduct for Virtual Experiences, including Meta’s smart-glasses and wearables conduct policy where applicable, in addition to these Guidelines. As a condition of participating in the community, you agree that you will:
The following values describe the spirit in which we expect every Member to participate. They are not an exhaustive list of rules; they are the standards against which we evaluate conduct on the platform.
Treat every Member of the community with integrity, patience, and humility. People come to Immerse at different stages of their learning journey and from every corner of the world. Be generous with encouragement, assume good faith, and disagree without disparaging. Behavior that demeans, intimidates, bullies, or harasses another person — whether through words, gestures, images, or sound — has no place in our community.
Immerse is committed to a community in which people of all backgrounds, identities, cultures, languages, and abilities are treated with dignity and made to feel that they belong. Do not engage in discrimination or hateful conduct on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Help make your peers feel welcome, included, and safe to practice, make mistakes, and grow.
The purpose of Immerse is education. Participate actively and constructively, and support the learning of those around you. Do not disrupt lessons, sessions, or shared spaces — whether by spamming, by monopolizing an instructor or activity, by interfering with others’ ability to hear or be heard, or by any other conduct that detracts from the experience. A positive learning environment is a shared responsibility, and small courtesies make a large difference.
Respect the privacy of everyone you encounter on and through Immerse. Do not share another person’s personal information — including their name, image, voice, contact details, or anything said or shown in a private session — without that person’s consent. Obtain consent before capturing, recording, or sharing anything sensitive, set your own boundaries clearly, and honor the boundaries that others set. When in doubt, ask first.
Immerse can be used across devices — mobile, desktop, and smart glasses and similar wearables — and can draw on the device camera and microphone to power real-time, camera- and voice-aware coaching. Because these features can capture the world around you — including other people — they carry a heightened responsibility, the same way on any device. When you use capture features in shared or public spaces, you agree to:
You are responsible for using capture features lawfully and considerately. Misuse of capture — including covert, unlawful, or non-consensual recording — may result in suspension or termination, and may be reported to the applicable authorities where required.
We review flagged violations of these Guidelines on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the nature and severity of the conduct, its impact on other Members, and any history of prior violations. Depending on the circumstances, our response may range from an informal or formal warning, to a temporary suspension of your access or of specific features (such as capture), up to permanent termination of your account. Serious violations — including conduct that endangers others, unlawful recording, or harm to minors — may result in immediate termination without prior notice, and nothing in these Guidelines limits the rights and remedies available to us under the Terms of Service or applicable law.
If you witness or experience conduct that violates these Guidelines, please report it to us at support@immerse.online. Reports are reviewed by our team, and we appreciate your help in keeping Immerse a safe, respectful, and welcoming community for every learner.
